I read today an article “U.S. says Iran has missile that could hit Europe” 12/07/2008

 And I was hit in the face like a ton of bricks!

I was over whelmed by the Holy Spirit my whole Body tingle.

OK so what happen..

While reading the article two words stood out Shahab and Ashura.

‘Iran said last week it conducted two missile tests involving a number of weapons including what Iranian state television called a "new" Shahab-3 missile, a medium-range missile that could be used to strike Israel.’

‘Iran is also developing a solid-fuel missile known as the Ashura with a range of 1,250 miles, according to the Pentagon.’

I quickly went to Goggle to find what these two words mean.

Shahab - Shooting star, luminous.

Ashura - means 10th. Ashura falls on the 10th day of Muharram, the first month of the New Year.

Ashura is observed by both Shi’a and Sunni Muslims throughout the world, although for different reasons. These differences give insight to the conflict between the two branches of Islam, a conflict that dates back to the 7th century CE.

 Ashura is one of the most sacred days of the year for Shi’a Muslims, who commemorate the martyrdom of Hussein ibn Ali in the Battle of Karbala. The battle took place on Muharram 10, 61 AH, or October 10th 680 CE (By coincidence the tenth day of the tenth month of the Julian calendar.) in what is now Iraq.

Then it hit me..

Shahab - Shooting star, luminous. – That’s the name of Satan. The angle of light.

Ashura - means "tenth" – October 10

Then I was lead into scripture and this was the passage.

The Second Woe

Revelation 9:13 The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the horns of the golden altar that is before God.

14 It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates."

15 And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 The number of the mounted troops was two hundred million. I heard their number.

Will there be an attack by Iran in October the 10^th?

I don’t know. All I know is what John saw as angles to kill a third of mankind can be missiles.

And they were kept ready for the hour, day, month and year.

U.S says Iran has these missiles.

Then I went looking for other stuff on Revelation 9:14 and this is what I found.

Revelation 9:13-16, the prophesied war will originate from the area of the Euphrates River. The Euphrates River is located mostly in Iraq where the United States has 170,000 troops stationed at this present time.

"And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for TO SLAY THE THIRD PART OF MEN." (Revelation 9:15) My first reaction was that can't really be what the prophecy says! To slay the third part of men? That would be two billion people dead! Surely not! I checked the Greek. Sure enough one-third of mankind. I checked several other translations one-third of the human race; one-third of all the people on earth; one-third of humanity. They all said the same thing! A WAR IS JUST AHEAD THAT WILL KILL TWO BILLION HUMAN BEINGS!

When doe the Bible say this war will occur?

The Sixth Trumpet War must occur before the beginning of the great tribulation. The great tribulation is that three and one-half year period that will immediately precede the Battle of Armageddon. How do we know the Euphrates River War must happen before the great tribulation begins? This prophesied war occurs in Revelation 9:13-21. Right after this in Revelation 10, the beginning of the great tribulation is recorded. In verse 5, an angel stands with one foot on the land and one foot on the water declaring that delay shall be no longer. Right after this, Revelation 11 describes the events of the final three and one-half years preceding the Battle of Armageddon. In Revelation 11:2, we are told that Jerusalem will be trodden down of the Gentiles for the next 42 months (3 years). Then in Revelation 11:3, God's two witnesses begin their ministries, which continue for the next 1260 days (3 years) until the end of the tribulation period. At the end of Revelation 11, the two witnesses are killed, the last trumpet sounds, and the Battle of Armageddon takes place. It is at this time that Jesus Christ returns to earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords. This same sequence of events is recorded in Daniel 12:1-7. An angel stands upon the waters and declares that there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that time, referring to the great tribulation. One asked the angel how long it would be until all this was over. He answered, "Until a time, times, and an half" (3 years).Both of these accounts describe an angel declaring the beginning of a time of great tribulation, which will last for three and one-half years.
